How does it work?

The Society of Food Hygiene and Technology has developed a new certification scheme in conjunction with Cert ID Europe Ltd, who are a UKAS accredited auditing company. This association ensures that audits are conducted by professionals with many years relevant experience and provides a consistent approach across the board.

Key Features:

• SOFHTe certification is a “Web based” scheme
• Each supplier completes an application and questionnaire online
• This is then submitted for a “desktop review” after which suppliers will be informed of the certification decision
• There are “risk assessed” audits of suppliers on a sample basis, but each supplier will be physically audited at least once every 3 years
• All of the above allows SOFHTe certification to be provided at very competitive costs
